My first impressions (and thoughts) of Skullgirls

This is NOT a review by a veteran fighting game player; just a new player giving his own impression of the game. Now that you've got it, let's move on.

This is my personal thoughts of the fighting game Skullgirls and thus, everything is purely subjective.

I wasn't a fan of fighting games when I bought this game,              Game: Skullgirls
but since the game advertised that this is a game made               Platform: PS3, X360, PC (Steam)
for both newcomers and veteran fighters, I gave it a go.                 (PC version played)
                                                                                               Developer: Lab Zero Games
                                                                                               MSRP: $14.99

The story. I don't want to spoil you guys, so read at your own risk.

SPOILERS FOLLOW.
The game is set in a fictional kingdom called Canopy Kingdom, and to be more specific, the city of New Meridian. The main artifact of the game is the Skull Heart, which grants a woman's wish every 7 years. If the wish is impure, she would become the oh-so-called Skullgirl.
SPOILERS END HERE.

The story is split into eight  (plus 1) stories, each for every character. The story is, in general, considered non-canon by Lab Zero devs although they do have plans to do a canon story.

I really like the art style and animation. Considering that it's hand drawn with over 1600 frames for a single character, it's really expressive. It's vibrant, beautiful, and well done. Also, the battle backgrounds are really well detailed.

The characters. In the vanilla game, there are only 8 playable characters. These are:
  1. Cerebella
  2. Double
  3. Filia
  4. Ms. Fortune
  5. Painwheel
  6. Parasoul
  7. Peacock (My favorite)
  8. and Valentine.
There is also an another character, Marie, who serves as a final boss. Also, there are DLC characters (funded through Indiegogo) in the works. The only character that is released as of now is:
  1.  Squigly (Also my favorite)
And four more along the way.
  1. Big Band
  2. Eliza
  3. Beowulf
  4. Robo-Fortune

Honestly, I'm a total noob at fighting games considering that I never played one before. So all I pretty much do was to mash buttons in frustration. Yeah, right. But I did went to the tutorials, which is helpful and interactive, something that a new fighting game player would appreciate. I never did any multiplayer because I knew I was a noob. At fighting games.

Nonetheless I'm trying to start practicing with fighting games, because honestly, fighting games has a rather steep learning curve.

But don't get me wrong though; it's a great game; with great story to talk about; and great art style. I'm frankly more interested in characters and story than the game in general, but one thing for sure: It's a great fighting game for both beginners (Thanks tutorials) like me and veteran players as well.

Toontown Online Closing

Yup, you've read it right. Toontown is closing. Another line of MMORPGs closing. For me, it was an memory. Just like everyone else who played the game. Some of you guys probably won't care, though. But I have no problems with that.

I last played this game over two years ago, and now I'm very anxious that it's closing. I forgot my login info, and I can't just well- go ahead and say- create a new account. But if you can still remember your login info though- well, gratz, because membership is free (for now till the game closes)

But it was tons of fun back then. There were a lot of players playing around, battling cogs (the main antagonist in the game), doing ToonTasks (aka "Quests"), and of course- creating your dream toon. I personally started back somewhere in 2009-10, created my own toon, made some great friends, battling cogs, doing stuff, more stuff, signed for a monthly membership ($10), made even more friends, posted my own toontown vids (that was way before I had a YouTube channel to settle down; had a few back in the day, honestly) that I won't be posting it here for the sake of privacy, but I just wanted to let you know, etc. That basically I just wanted to let you know that- I had lots of fun with the game, and it's a huge shame that it's closing.

So good night, sweet prince, may you rest in peace.

NFS World - Caterham R500 Superlight Review

First thing first, the car comes with:

- Norset and Richter tuned parts, giving it an overall HAT rating of 800 (815 888 697) from its stock rating of 731 (692 864 638)
- two-star usual set of skill mods

The Review:

Top speed wise, It only does 330 km/h (204 mph) with the parts it comes with. It's quite frankly-- low for an S class car that it's not advisable to take it in highway tracks, as it will end up getting beaten by players in Cinques and Aventadors.

Acceleration wise, THIS THING IS FAST. like, really fast. Its acceleration has a lot of torque and is on par with the Cinque. It also comes with cosmic nos if you might ask.

Handling wise, this thing is a serious go-kart. It turns really well although it has a lot of oversteer and will spin out very easily. Thanks, torque! On the bright side, its handling makes it one of the best cars for technical tracks and its torque helps after a corner.

Price wise, At 6,900 SB, this is, well frankly, surprisingly cheap for an S class car. No need for any more explanation.

Aftermarket Details:

I don't like bodykit to be honest, it's quite ugly IMO. But I'm not going to stop you if you are installing it though. But I gotta warn you that 3,450 SB for a bodykit is NOT cheap.

Other Notes:

The Caterham Superlight is quite possibly the first super-lightweight sports car (the other cars of the kind featured in NFS series are the Ariel Atom 500 and BAC Mono) in NFS World, and no doubt, it's very fast in terms of acceleration.

The car is kind of like the Lotus Elise and Porsche 914-6 GT in terms of weight. Just like these two, this car is very light and thus, one of the worst cars for pursuits. Itwill get pushed by cops very easily and stands no chance against Rhinos either if you run up getting the misfortune of hitting one. Oh, and the usual annoying traffic as well.

It's also worth noting this is the first non-special (or base) edition car to come with two-star skill mods.

I hope you'll enjoy reading this as much as much as I do. Critiques & comments are always appreciated!

I gave up but I just tried reuploading it just now.

NFS World: Pagani Zonda Cinque "Sleigh Runner" Review

I've bought this a few months ago, but I decided to give it a review just now.

This thing is fast. I gotta say. It'll do 354 km/h (219 mph) with pre-installed Gromlen tuned parts. Not as high as a Reventon or a Aventador though (it's only a few km/h away actually). But still, It's a joy to drive that fast.

Acceleration wise, THIS THING IS SERIOUSLY FAST. Its acceleration is immense, much faster than similar cars such as the Aventador or even the ol' GT2 997. Ultra tune it and you'll trash the entire competition. Including drags (because this car is already a drag edition car). It even comes with cosmic nitrous if you're a fan of it.

Handling wise, It handles seriously well. Far better than the ol' king, the GT2 997, It grips, a lot. Although there are some hints of oversteer though.

Price wise, At the moment of writing, the Sleigh Runner is currently unavailable. It used to be available for 9,200 SpeedBoost before it got retired on March 15th, 2013. Its stock edition is, however, available as an on sale car for 4,800 SpeedBoost. I'd highly recommend you that you get it right away (I hope that you have the boost for it though) since it's one hell of a car.

Other mentions:
No offense to you guys though but this thing is the MOST OVERUSED CAR IN THE GAME. Cinques are literally everywhere. S class races, Team Escapes, or even in Free Roam. You see them everywhere. EVERYWHERE. It's SERIOUSLY IRRITATING. I would personally remove the livery as well as the AM parts (which I did). It's frickin' ugly. And hideous.

The bright side: Again, it comes with Gromlen tuned parts, as well as 2-star drag skill mods. Plus, it comes with Aero Drag skill mod, if you might ask. I usually trash the entire drag competition due to it. The only problems with it is that it generally has some sort of "gear drop" problem that slow the car down by a good bit. In pursuits, it's quite light, in fact very light, that I would personally do not recommend you that you use it for pursuits. I only use it for drags though, so mind if I don't get it.

(tl;dr version) First thing first, THIS THING IS FAST. Its top speed (with Gromlen tuned parts) is 219 mph/354 km/h and comes with 2-star drag skill mods. Its acceleration is immense. It handles seriously well. It's also great in drags as well.

Rainbow Dash is the best pony. I'm out.
